Avoid Water Exposure:
While your tan is in the development phase, steer clear of water activities. Skip washing dishes, scrubbing bathtubs, or anything that might splash water on you. Rainfall is also a no-go during this critical period.

No Sweating or Working Out:
Refrain from engaging in activities that induce sweating or rigorous physical exertion. This helps maintain the integrity of your developing tan.

Mind Skin-to-Skin Contact:
Be conscious of skin-to-skin contact, not only with others but also in your everyday positions. Whether you're a leg-crosser or someone who rests their head on their arm while sleeping, ensure these areas are covered by fabric. Opt for long pants and long sleeves to prevent any skin contact until after your initial shower.

Wait 6-8 Hours Before Showering:
Patience is key. Wait a minimum of 6-8 hours before showering after your spray tan. While it's possible to shower sooner, doing so may lighten the color and reduce the longevity of your tan. For optimum results, consider sleeping in your tan and showering the next morning. After your airbrush-tanning treatment, during your initial shower, you'll notice the cosmetic bronzer washing off in the water. Don't panic! This is a normal part of the spray tan process. The bronzer is used during application to help us see where we've applied the tan. Your actual tan is underneath and remains unaffected.

Maintaining Your Glow

Hydration Is Key:
Moisturize your skin morning and night, starting after your first shower. Keeping your skin hydrated is crucial, as your tan will naturally fade with the shedding of skin cells. Regular moisturizing will help extend the life of your tan.

Mindful Bathing and Showering:
Avoid exfoliation after your tan. Opt for a mild shower gel without exfoliants or scrubs, including loofahs and washcloths. If you're unsure about your products, feel free to ask us for recommendations. We have specially formulated products for post-tan care to meet your needs precisely.

Post-Tan Physical Activity:
Refrain from moderate to intense physical activities, particularly those involving water or heavy sweating, until after your first shower. Activities like swimming, working out, or indulging in saunas or hot tubs can expedite tan fading. Even Epsom salt baths should be avoided, as salt and chlorine can dehydrate your skin, potentially causing blotchy results a day or two later.

Shower Strategically:
Only shower when necessary, as each bath or shower session contributes to the gradual fading of your tan. Keep your showers short and sweet to minimize the impact on your tan's longevity.
